DIY - Pink Dip Dye

Hey there,
A couple of weeks ago I went to the hair dresser and got my Ombré Hair (which basically means that the end of my hair is a lighter colour than the top). I really liked it but I kind of feel like trying out something new at the moment so I thought I'd give it a try and go for a pinky colour.
Since the end of my hair was bleeched already I went for a Dip Dye look which I've been in love with ever since I first saw a picture of it. So if you want to try out something new but you don't want to dye your entire head pink, this is how I did it.
This is what I used:

La Riché Directions: Flamingo Pink
A Hair Colouring Brush
Rubber Gloves
A Bowl
A White Conditioner (only if you want a lighter pink)

You can mix the hair dye with some conditioner if you want your hair to be a lighter pink. But you can only achieve a pastel pink if your hair is almost white so be careful with how light you want to go! Also you only need a little bit of the hair dye for quite a dark mixture. I went for a darker pink because my hair was more golden than white and I wanted the pink to completely cover up my old colour.
After I had a colour that I liked I started "painting" my hair with the brush. I used quite alot because I didn't want the golden shimmer of my hair to come through the pink. When I was done I waited 60 - 80 minutes  (15 minutes are not enough!!!). After that I just ran clear water through it until the water was completely clean.
After I had blow dried my hair I was quite disappointed because the colour didn't come out as I expected. There were different shades of pink and some parts were almost completely blond.
So I decided to repeat the process and this time I used more of the hair dye and less conditioner.
Even though it took a while until I was done I am really happy with the result.

The colour got a bit lighter after I've washed my hair but that depends on how damaged your hair is. So I would recommend a intensive hair treatment before you dye your hair. But other than that I love the colour and I can't wait to try out some other colours.

Lots of love,
Becca xx

P.S.: Thanks to my best friend for taking the pictures x
